CHILLICOTHE — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two individuals discovered inside a Waugh Road residence earlier this week. Although the incident occurred Monday and Tuesday, officials only released details on Wednesday, making this an active and developing case.

Deputies were first called late Monday evening to conduct a welfare check on a woman living in the 100 block of Waugh Road. When they arrived, no one answered the door, prompting deputies to begin looking further into the situation.

Investigators returned the next day with a search warrant. Upon entering the home, they located two deceased individuals. The Ross County Coroner now has custody of the bodies, and officials say neither person has been positively identified.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was requested to assist with processing evidence at the scene. Early findings indicate the deaths were the result of a domestic incident involving the two residents of the home. Authorities emphasize that there is no ongoing threat to the community.

The investigation remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
