As the 2025–2026 Miami Trace sports season comes to a close, the Panthers Baseball program has plenty to celebrate. This spring, the Panthers showcased determination, teamwork, and impressive accomplishments that continued to build on the strong tradition of Miami Trace athletics. Competing in the Frontier Athletic Conference, the Panthers faced tough opponents throughout the season and delivered exciting moments from opening day to the final pitch.
The varsity team, coached by Rob Smith, opened the season with five consecutive wins and carried that momentum through the spring. They finished with an outstanding 18–5–1 overall record and an 8–2 conference record, placing them second in the FAC. The JV team also had a remarkable season, reportedly winning every game they played.

Several standout performances highlighted the year. Cooper Enochs, a member of the varsity team and a 2026 graduate, set a new Miami Trace home run record. Multiple Panthers earned All-FAC honors, including upcoming junior Gage Bowers, graduate Austin Brown, and upcoming senior Brody McBee. Earning honorable mention was graduate Cooper Enochs.
Individual achievements were strong across the board. According to MaxPreps, upcoming junior Gage Bowers led the varsity team in batting average, stolen bases, runs, hits, doubles, and triples. Upcoming senior Brody McBee led the team in on-base percentage. Cooper Enochs finished the season with 6 home runs, 37 RBIs, and a slugging percentage of 0.703. Gavyn Maynard led the team in earned run average, while Austin Brown posted a team-best fielding percentage of 0.987.

The JV team also produced impressive numbers. According to MaxPreps, upcoming junior Caleb Esker led the team in stolen bases, runs, and doubles. Reed Miller led in fielding percentage, hits, and RBIs. Colt Whitaker posted the highest batting average and on-base percentage. Upcoming sophomore Elliott Hatton led the team in home runs and triples. Bryce Carpenter recorded the best ERA, and Kevin Washington led the team in slugging percentage.
This season opened the door for continued growth and set the stage for even greater accomplishments in the years ahead. With a strong returning core and rising talent throughout the program, the future of Miami Trace baseball looks bright.
