The Highland County Sheriff’s Office is opening its doors to the community for two Career Day events on April 24 and May 1 at 130 Homestead Avenue in Hillsboro. The events are designed to give residents an inside look at career paths within the agency and the daily work of local law enforcement.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet deputies and command staff, tour facilities and equipment, and learn about specialized units including the K‑9 Unit, Special Response Team, Drug Task Force, 911 Communications, Corrections, and the Detective Bureau. Staff will also provide an overview of the hiring process and answer questions from attendees.

The Sheriff’s Office is currently hiring for multiple positions and highlights paid training, competitive benefits, and opportunities for advancement as part of its recruitment efforts.
