On April 1st 2026, we interviewed Mark Bergen, the owner of Range 28. Mark was in the military for over 30 years, gaining experience on many different weapons. Obviously, they went to the range frequently. Thankfully, they’ve never had an emergency situation. When they have students on the range, it’s always a one on one instructor to student ratio, so if anything were to happen, an instructor is right beside anyone shooting. They show their students how to properly and safely hold and operate the firearms before they actually use them. They are very comfortable with people of all experience levels. Sometimes the students with zero experience listen and do better than people with experience, because they often listen better.

Mark the head of our security team at his church, and frequently had people coming up to him and asking him to teach them about firearms. So he decided to make a business out of it.
