On the tenth of February, 2026 the Leesburg Times Media interviewed Galen Yoder, a partner of RoofX. During the interview we asked Galen questions and took notes of how he answered. So how do you go from growing up to your brothers and dad in construction to working alongside them to actually being the partner of a big business?

Galen Yoder grew up in a family deeply involved in construction. His father initiated the company in 2004 Galen Yoder, the youngest of five, was immersed in the business from a young age. He learned the trade from his father, gaining experience in various construction aspects. The early exposure led him to enter the construction industry. Galen’s father taught him the fundamentals of building houses and remodeling. Galen’s involvement in construction began with his fathers initiative. He was involved in the business with his brothers. Galen’s journey in the construction industry was shaped by his legacy and has still been into construction. 

The company was started by Galen’s father in 2004. During those times Galen would learn from his father about the construction basics, as stated above. In 2019, he decided to shift from general construction, choosing to shift to specialize in roofing. Roofing was always a favorite construction like trade for Galen. He wanted to focus on what he enjoyed most. The decision to specialize was a strategic move. The company transitioned from general construction to roofing, making it what it is now known as “RoofX”. 

The company's mission is to transform homes and lives within the community. The goal is to support the community by transforming homes. This includes exterior remodeling services like roofing and siding. The company wants to give homeowners a peace of mind, seeing its business as a platform to impact its team and others in said community. The company also wants to help grow and encourage others like it encouraged Galen to take on the construction or roofing trade.
