On March 10th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Café 28 hosted their 4th birthday event. Rylan Hackworth attended the celebration, met up with owner Lauren Arnold, and talked with her about the heart behind the shop and what keeps it going. From the very beginning, the founding mission of Café 28 was to bring people in the community together to sit down and conversate, and to enjoy good coffee. That simple idea of connection is what started it all.
The mission behind Café 28 today still holds that same energy. The initiative was set to bring good energy and vibes into the community and to pursue her passion about coffee. Opening a coffee shop wasn’t random for Lauren — it was something she loved and something she wanted to share with others.
As a local entrepreneur, Lauren stays busy. She owns this local coffee shop and the Corner Market in Greenfield. She is also a photographer whenever she has the time to be one. On top of that, she is a wonderful wife to her husband and a mother of two little girls. Her work, her creativity, and her family all play a part in the atmosphere she brings into her businesses.
Looking ahead, the goal of Café 28 is to continue being a good place for the community to just come to and converse. Lauren plans on creating a good environment for people to enjoy along with the local coffee shops and good food… yum!
